2011

On February 28, Ning Jinsheng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, came to FOIF for inspection and guidance.
On July 18, Ning Jinsheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chen Junyong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Li Deren, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, together with professors and experts from Wuhan University and Tongji University, came to FOIF to inspect the construction of the "Suzhou FOIF Academician Workstation".
On August 22, Ning Jinsheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Li Jiancheng, vice president of the department of Surveying and Mapping of Wuhan University, Xu Yaming, and Zou Jingui, director of the Institute of Surveying Engineering, visited Suzhou FOIF.

2012

On August 24th, Mr. Durk Haarsma, the editor-in-chief of GIM International, a world-renowned geographic information industry media, visited our company.
On October 18, the department of Geodesy of Wuhan University held a forum on academic innovation and education development for the 56th anniversary of Professor Ning Jinsheng's 80th birthday in the Student Center of the Faculty of Information Science of Wuhan University. Cao Yidong, general manager of FOIF, and Shen Chenyan, chief engineer, were invited to Wuhan University to celebrate and attend the meeting.

2013

In February, FOIF won the honor of 2012 Science and Technology Innovation Award (provincial undertaking project, provincial high-tech product).
In May, FOIF won the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award, and the RTS series total station won the second prize. "FOIF brand" total station was awarded the title of Jiangsu famous brand product by Jiangsu Famous Brand Strategy Promotion Committee.

2014

On January 8, Liu Jingnan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, came to FOIF to inspect and guide our work. Cao Yidong(general manager), and Shen Chenyan(chief engineer), accompanied the inspection and conducted in-depth exchanges and communication on the development direction of GNSS technology application and follow-up technical cooperation.
In February, four trademarks, Chuangyuan Surveying and Mapping CYSM, FOIF First Optics, iTS and iTH, have been approved and registered by the Trademark Office of the Administration for Industry and Commerce of the People's Republic of China.
On May 1, Li Song, vice president of the department of Electronic Information of Wuhan University, visited our company, and Cao Yidong, general manager, reported on the work of Suzhou FOIF and Wuhan University to jointly build the "Joint Laboratory of Photoelectric Surveying and Mapping Technology R&D", and further negotiated the project cooperation. Hou Yuwei(deputy general manager), and Shen Chenyan(chief engineer), accompanied and participated in the negotiation.

2018

1. FOIF brought many high-quality products and solutions to the INTERGEO
On October 16, the annual German International Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation Exhibition InterGEO 2018 kicked off in Frankfurt, with more than 600 exhibitors from all over the world and more than 2,000 products unveiled. As a global exchange platform for the surveying, mapping and geographic information industry, the conference comprehensively displays industry standards, innovations and trends, focusing on digitalization, intelligence and product solutions.
As an excellent provider of surveying and mapping equipment products and services, FOIF continues to provide high-quality product solutions to customers around the world, in addition to exhibiting star products such as RTS010 high-precision total station and new designed A90 GNSS receiver, it also brings a new generation of A70 mini receiver, A80 (5W radio) receiver and upgraded second-generation RTS010A robotic total station in the international market, which has been widely focused and affirmed by customers on site with its novel appearance and excellent performance.

2019

1. FOIF A90 Smart RTK launched
The new RTK has a built-in fourth-generation inertial navigation module, which is easy and fast without righting and carrying a pole.
The main feature of the new RTK is the built-in fourth-generation inertial navigation module. Inertial navigation is the abbreviation of inertial navigation measurement, which measures the angular rate and acceleration information of the carrier through gyroscope and accelerometer, and then obtains the velocity and position information of the carrier through integration operation. To put it simply, it is to obtain the position and attitude information of the object through the combination of software and hardware.
2. FOIF products were unveiled at INTERGEO 2019
From September 17th to 19th, 2019, INTERGEO 2019 was held at the Messe Stuttgart Exhibition Center in Stuttgart, Germany, attracting more than 18,000 visitors from all over the world.

2020

FOIF assisted in the emergency construction of Wuhan Huoshenshan and Leishenshan hospitals in the epidemic
The Spring Festival of 2020 is destined to be an unusual New Year, after 17 years, another epidemic is menacing, Wuhan suddenly has a pneumonia epidemic caused by the new coronavirus, and there are signs of spreading throughout the country. At the critical juncture, the Wuhan municipal government announced the lockdown of the city on January 23, and in order to effectively control the development of the epidemic, it decided to urgently build two infectious disease hospitals, Huoshenshan and Leishenshan.
In this race against time, FOIF, as a domestic veteran surveying and mapping instrument manufacturer, is also obliged to participate in the contribution to ensure the surveying and mapping work of the construction project .

2021

In December, FOIF "high-precision automated industrial measurement theodolite" project passed the expert defense organized by Suzhou Science and Technology Bureau, and was included in the technological innovation project of key enterprises in Suzhou.
In October, FOIF continuously undertook large orders for EL302A digital level, with a total of more than 2,000 units, and successfully completed the delivery of more than 800 units.
In June, FOIF successfully developed J2-NM geomagnetic optical theodolite, the remanence < 1μT, is a special theodolite developed for geomagnetism, geology and other research fields, and the fluxgate detection system together to form a magnetometer, which can be used in the field and station to observe the geomagnetic declination angle and geomagnetic inclination, and is widely used in geomagnetic stations, seismic institutes and other relevant departments.

2022

In September, RTS005A high-precision robotic total station obtained the type approval certificate of measuring instruments, marking a new level of R&D and manufacturing of our high-precision robotic total station.
In July, it successfully passed the mid-term inspection of the "high-precision automated industrial measurement theodolite" project.
In April, FOIF A90 high-precision real-time dynamic navigation and positioning receiver is used to climb to the summit of Mount Everest for scientific expedition activities, Mount Everest is the world's highest peak, and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau where it is located is known as the "roof of the world" and "the third pole of the earth", which is an important ecological security barrier, water resource security barrier, homeland security barrier and strategic resource reserve base in China. On the morning of April 30, 2022, a scientific research team composed of China University of Geosciences and other units climbed to the top of Mount Everest to carry out high-altitude geological exploration of Mount Everest and explore the current crustal movement and deformation characteristics of Mount Everest. As a veteran enterprise of domestic surveying equipment, A90 GNSS receiver provided by FOIF for this scientific expedition also used on the top of the world - Mount Everest with Professor Chen Gang from Wuhan University of Geosciences.

2023

In November, as an exhibitor, FOIF participated in the CHINTERGEO(China Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Technology Equipment Exhibition) held in Guangzhou, and launched a number of new products at this exhibition, including RS10 Robotic Total Station (Android Direct Drive), RTS390 Series Total Station, RTS010N Android Total Station, EL03Pro High-precision Digital Level, ALM1 Series Precision Electric Leveling Level.
In October, FOIF succesfully passed the renewal audit of GB/T 19001-2016 / ISO 9001:2015 standard quality management system.
In August, FOIF introduced high-skilled professionals, and set up new R&D team to establish "advanced optoelectronic research laboratory" and "Measurement software research laboratory".

2024

From May 19th to 24th, FOIF attended the FIG working week which was held in Accra, Ghana. This year the topic is “Your World, Our World: Resilient Environment and Sustainable Resource Management for all”.
From September 24 to 26, 2024, FOIF attended INTERGEO 2024 and showcased a range of innovative products, including the RS10 Android direct-drive robotic total station, RTS362N android total station, EL03Pro high-precision digital level, ALM1L electric leveling precision level, DM3000 dual-axis high-precision digital level, ILD3000Mini high-precision dual-axis inclination sensor and new designed high-precision GNSS receivers. The event attracted numerous new and old attendees who engaged in consultations and exchanges regarding the exhibits.

FOIF has been certified as a national high-tech enterprise for more than 20 years. In 2023, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Finance, Jiangsu Provincial State Taxation Bureau, and Jiangsu Provincial Local Taxation Bureau organized experts to conduct a national high-tech enterprise certification review of FOIF. In November 2023, FOIF entered the "List of the First Batch of High-tech Enterprises Registered and Filed by Jiangsu Provincial Accreditation Institutions in 2023", and the certificates were issued after the publicity period.
